Jasmine Noir is the owner of a vertical integration company known as Petals of Noir. She started the business in October 2019. Petals of Noir, just like Jasmine, incorporates everything that makes her unique. From dance, choreography, and creative direction, to fine arts education and publications. She is a woman with many talents. When asked why she started her business, she explains, " I started this brand because I was told I am good at many things but felt like I was all over the place and needed something to bring the businesses together under one hat. I have been very fortunate and successful with the business so far. The Motto is anything we touch will blossom, making each project blossom one at a time."

Her portfolio consists of business credits including Power 105.1, Hot 97, VH1, BET, Vogue Magazine, CW Network, National Film, and Television Awards, NYFW, Chinese Basketball Association VMAs Red Carpet, etc. Also, the artist credits Jidenna, Rihanna, Wizkid, Dj Tunez, Mapy Violinist, Kevin Lyttle, Sean Paul, Kerwin Dubois, and Machel Montano. Out of everyone Noir has worked with, choreographing for the Chinese Basketball Association is what stands out the most. It was the first international tour that Jasmine did. That tour stamped her as a choreographer. Another profound person she has worked with is the violinist, Mapy from Paris, France. When Mapy performed on her first American TV show, she requested Jasmine Noir to choreograph her set. This led to Jasmine receiving her first award for Best Live TV Performance.

Jasmine has always known she was going to be a dancer since she was a child. "I knew that this was for me. Nothing else mattered but succeeding in Performing Arts. The inspiration came from the womb with a hint of Michael and Janet Jackson of course. Those are my ultimate idols."

Growing up as a dark-skinned indigenous girl, she has not always received the support she deserved from her dance colleagues. "They did not show good sportsmanship, many times I was ostracized and snubbed by them. I was told I would never get into a prestigious ballet conservatory school. I was also told I would never go as a choreographer in this industry." Despite what she was told and how she was treated, Jasmine Noir pushed forward and used the negativity as an instrument to make her stronger and go harder for what she wanted. She was accepted on scholarship to the prestigious school of London Contemporary Dance School in the United Kingdom. Despite being told she would never make it as a choreographer, she has awards under her belt. Jasmine is an example of what hard work, divine timing, and strength look like.

Apart from working with well-known artists in the music industry, Jasmine's passion is the youth. She teaches dance at Joe's Academy of Music. She makes an impact on her students by being very honest about her journey, flaws and all. "My journey was no walk in the park. Everything I achieved was without an agent. I created my blueprint and that is NOT easy." Despite times when Jasmine Noir wanted to give up, she stayed the course. Her perseverance and determination touch the lives of everyone she comes across, especially her students. "When my students hear my stories and see my success, it shows them to walk by faith and not by fear. They are reminded to never give up on your dreams because they can and will come true," Jasmine said. She is a living testimony of what happens when you learn to trust the process.

Jasmine is no stranger to trauma in her professional and personal life. When she was 6 months pregnant, on her way to work, Noir was hit by a truck. "I bled internally. I almost lost my life and my baby," Jasmine elaborated. What could have been fatal was the biggest triumph after adversity. Her healing journey began around the same time. "I knew becoming a mother would require a new lever of me. My daughter taught me a new level of boundaries, accountability, and accessibility which I now use in my businesses. Knowing that I don't always have to be "booking" I can just enjoy being in the moment and live. My child's father who is also my best friend has also taught me those things. I thank them abundantly for helping me recognize my evolution through these experiences because it was all subconsciously done nothing forced just authentic," she explained. Those who Jasmine holds dear taught her the most important lesson of motherhood and entrepreneurship, balance.

Although Jasmine Noir's traumatic experiences have contributed to her role as an entrepreneur, it has had a bigger impact on her as a mom. Once she became a mother, Noir got a therapist to be able to deal with her traumas. "I was able to say RIP to my triggers so my daughter didn't have to experience them. It made me a better business mom as well. Exercising Emotional Intelligence was the best thing I could've done during my pregnancy," she explained. Jasmine takes her role as a new mom very seriously. Out of all of her achievements, giving birth to her daughter is the most meaningful goal she has accomplished. "I've never felt so badass in my life," Jasmine exclaimed. It puts her in the same mindset as when her students execute and show growth in a skill she taught them. It means so much to her.

Here at Jay's Intuitive Life Coaching and Inspired Healing, LLC we have a saying that we like to use. "Healing is a journey, not a destination."
We asked Jasmine Noir if she could give moms who aspire to start them businesses and continue their healing journey any advice, what would it be? She offered this, "My advice would be don’t worry about when you’re going to get to your blessings just know you’re going to weather the storms. A journey is like paying off a loan you received in advance as long as you keep doing what you need to do you will never be in debt to your failures and you can only build up your credit”
