Skincare for the body, mind, and soul!

skincare Jul 20, 2022

Keisa is the owner of Shola Skincare, a plant-based skincare company that she has been operating since 2020. They have skincare products for all skin types but target mostly individuals with eczema and psoriasis.

Keisa was inspired to start her business when her daughter was diagnosed with eczema at the age of six months. After a while, she was tired of all the chemical-laden creams, lotions, and ointments that she was being given. One was lightening her skin tone. "I was already familiar with essential oils and Butters so I just researched how it could help with eczema. I made my first body butter, and it worked! Then, I realized how many children and even adults were affected by eczema, so I did more research, my main goal is to find a cure for eczema," she explains.

The journey of motherhood and entrepreneurship came with its challenges. "The main challenge for me was getting the products out there, getting consumers to believe in me and my product, Keisa expresses. She finds balance through this by taking it one day at a time, pacing herself, and not trying to do too much too soon. "My family has always and will always be my foundation, so if I'm ever feeling overwhelmed, I find my peace right there or in nature too."

Through meditation and journaling, Keisa was able to overcome these challenges. By being introspective, she has been able to heal a lot and keep working hard and persevering to obtain her goals.

Here at Jay's Intuitive Life Coaching and Inspired Healing, LLC we have a saying that we like to use. "Healing is a journey, not a destination." We asked Keisa if she could give moms who aspire to start their businesses and continue their healing journey any advice, what would it be? She offered this, "Never quit. Not today tomorrow not ever. Doors will close, and people will try to discourage you, but keep going and set the place on fire. Let your light shine for all to see. We were all destined for greatness, so go be the greatest that u can be. Do not forget to be kind to everyone you meet"
