Sewing the pieces of her life back together!

Khadizah Amos founded Kay Allure, a women's intimacy self-love/care line in February 2022. She has been sewing for well over three years and candle-making for two years. Kay Allure is about bringing out beauty for you. "My business allows women to bring sexy from the bedroom to boardrooms," Amos explains. Her business offers custom designing and styling, from lingerie, sexy apparel, and aromatherapy, to massage oil candles. "I study aromatherapy and oils and how they work with the body spiritually, mentally, and physically," Khadizah elaborated. Her massage oil candles are made with essential oils that stimulate the body. Tranquil is her #1 seller. It reduces stress while also relaxing tension and muscles. The aromatherapy candles are great for meditation.

Khadizah loves helping women who are looking to regain their sexiness and to feel and enjoy the journey of self-love. "I’m always willing to go the extra mile whether it’s giving that extra hand or initiating creative ideas. I let others count on me," she said. That has not changed since her childhood.

As a child, Amos grew up collecting fashion magazines, watching America's Next Top Model, and dreaming to become a model. "Middle school was when I began cutting my clothes styling them with bleach. My mom and grandmother used to be livid with me for cutting my clothes. Little did we all know I was a designer in the making. When I was seventeen, I worked for Macy's whenever I loved it. When my manager sent me to the lingerie department, it was like a different world, like a dream. I do not know why but that is when I fell in love with lingerie," Khadizah told us.

Although she is very enthusiastic about her industry, her business came with many challenges personally and professionally. At age 22, Khadizah felt like her world revolved around dead-end jobs that took her away from her child and family. " My jobs made me feel like a part-time parent. I only saw my child 2 days a week which were my off days," Amos exclaimed. She knew she had to make a change. As many of us moms know and feel, there were moments when we felt like we had to put our dreams aside because bills had to be paid and we had a little human depending on us. Khadizah and her partner were living paycheck to paycheck ensuring that Ivory, their daughter was taken care of. "I was in a relationship that caused me to lose myself, which was my daughter's father. We were engaged but everything was not as sweet as it seemed on the outside. Living together was extremely toxic. The only thing that kept me sane in those four walls was sewing. Sewing is where I got more spiritual," Amos explained to us. There were times in her relationship when she stopped everything from sewing and practicing self-care.

"I knew the only way Ivory would be taken care of was me taking care of ME first. After removing Ivory and myself from a toxic environment I was able to work on balancing mom life, me, and Kay Allure more." Amos began working on her healing, becoming a better mom, and business, and taking care of herself spiritually, mentally, and physically.

Khadizah stepped out of her shell and took risks. " I put myself out into the world. I am now able to make my schedule and work from home. Women who have either collaborated with me or purchased anything from me were able to experience my talents," Amos said.

Those experiences made Khadizah who she is today. If she didn't face any challenges or lose certain people in her life, she wouldn't know how to love, heal, and explore her creativity. Healing her traumas, and letting go of things that no longer serve her have given her the biggest life lesson thus far. By putting herself first, her daughter gets a better evolving version. This allows her to help those placed on her path.

Here at Jay's Intuitive Life Coaching and Inspired Healing, LLC we have a saying that we like to use. "Healing is not a journey, it's a destination." Changing Healing is inevitable. It starts with you the healing, business, and balancing. Always love yourself."
