From Pastries to Pierogi

Inna Kondramashin owns and operates a food business, specifically a pierogi shop. Inna's Pierogi Shop has been in business since October 2016. Before selling pierogi, Inna's business began as a pastry shop and rebranded into a pierogi shop due to covid. They make many assorted flavors of pierogi. Currently, they have ten assorted flavors. Apart from pierogi, Inna's Pierogi Shop makes some traditional Eastern European sides like the cabbage roll meatballs or golumpki. They intend on expanding their menu in the future to their pierogi cafe.

Inna grew up in a family of foodies. Her parents catered weddings all the time and she fell in love with the kitchen as much as they did. "My dad was an entrepreneur, and his story is so like mine. Working hard and the immigrant mindset was instilled in me and my siblings. I decided early in my life that I will be open with my children through thick and thin. It builds relationships and that is what I want to have with my children," Inna explains. She held to her dream.

Kondramashin works and runs Inna's Pierogi Shop with her husband, Alex. Her teenagers work with them as well. They also have eleven additional staff members on the payroll who are a viable part of the team. They are treated like Family. "They are not just employees, they are team members who act like owners because of all the ideas they bring to our business to succeed," Inna elaborated.

Although she is living out her dream, things have not always been easy for Inna. Understanding that there are different seasons in life has been challenging. "Some seasons I work more and some seasons I rest more. Involving my kids in the pretty and the ugly. It teaches them to persevere in the future and learn to accept rewards from hard work," Inna expresses. Balance and budgeting have been a roadblock for her as well.

" It took time to train my brain to think that there are more things in life than my business and counting my blessings. I started watching other entrepreneur moms and what they do. I learned so much by analyzing. When I learned to budget, I learned that I could support my family and be successful. understanding how to budget well. It takes time to learn the process."

Despite the challenges she has faced, Inna has accomplished that much more. She started communicating better with her children. Kondramashin began accepting her busy season and learned how to incorporate her children into them.

Even now, Inna was able to open a business and navigate it debt-free. She was able to understand and learn what balance meant to her and her family regarding a more meaningful work-life schedule. She was able to build a business that supports her family of seven people. Most importantly, she was able to transform her shop from pastries to pierogis.

Here at Jay's Intuitive Life Coaching and Inspired Healing, LLC we have a saying that we like to use. "Healing is a journey, not a destination." We asked Inna Kondramashin if she could give moms who aspire to start their businesses and continue their healing journey any advice, what would it be? She offered this, "Do what works for your family. If you need to work a little more, do it! Communicate that to your family and they will support you. Trust me, your load will become a lot lighter."
