"Don't Let Anyone Out Work You" Victoya’s From Struggle to Success Story!
May 25, 2022By: Jasmyn Camp
Apart from being the mother of two beautiful children, Victoya Venise is the owner and operator of BeeExpress Designs, a high-quality graphic design service with express turnaround time.
Like many of us working moms, Victoya felt the strain and stress of commuting to a 9-5 job. With a 1-year-old daughter, that strain became even more prevalent. As childcare expenses increased, she wanted to find a way to make money at home or wherever there were Wi-Fi capabilities. Thus, the creation of BeeExpress Designs.
She finds passion in offering women in business beautiful graphics fast and at a reasonable price. This passion stems from childhood. Growing up, Victoya spent a lot of time with her grandfather. Her grandfather was an entrepreneur in his own right. As a child, she would collect bottles and cans with him. Sometimes she would work with him on his properties. Not only did he teach Victoya how to lay floor tile, but he taught her the importance of arduous work and independence. A lesson she still lives by to this day.
Things have not always been easy for Ms. Venise. While pregnant after losing her home after hurricane Ida, Victoya Venise spent time living on a military base, a friend's couch, and then a shelter for one month. The very reason she moved to Louisiana was to work with another company and when that did not look promising anymore, she applied to work with Kaleidoscope Hair Products owned by Jesseca Dupart. During the application period, she was also busy looking for a new apartment and dealing with the aches and pains from broken friendships. She almost lost her means of communication as well, as she was on someone else’s line, and they were being unfair with the bill by not paying their fair. After a month she got a new place and two months later the job with Kaleidoscope. Despite the challenges she has faced, she always kept prayer at the forefront of her self-care routine.
Other challenges and roadblocks that Victoya has faced on her journey are jealousy dealing with friends, family, and romantic relationships, as well as doing business with the wrong people. When asked, how she overcame these challenges, she informed us that it was by the support of her loyal friends and family.
Victoya's story is truly inspiring. Although her childhood and trauma experiences have impacted her significantly, she did not allow them to control her life. Instead, she used them as a stepping stone for her success.
Here at Jay's Intuitive Life Coaching and Inspired Healing, LLC we have a saying that we like to use. "Healing is a journey, not a destination."
We asked Victoya Venise if she could give moms who aspire to start them businesses and continue their healing journey any advice, what would it be? She so elegantly said, "Be consistent" "Offer no excuses" and "Don't let anyone outwork you."
